June 19, 2022, Glücksburg, Germany: Helmed by World Champion and Olympic sailor, Magnus Holmberg (SWE), Northern Light (US-14) outshined her Division D rivals at the 2022 Robbe & Berking Sterling Cup. After a 9-year absence from the race course, with a new owner, complete refit and practiced crew she was ready to meet the highly competitive Northern European 12mR fleet. Northern Light (US-14) scored just 13 points over the 9 race regatta sailed in ideal 12mR conditions with wind ranging from 16-20 knots under sunny skies. Christoph Avenarius’ (GER) Nini Anker (N-15) claimed second place with 17 points, followed by Vim (US-15), skippered by Helmuth Hennig (DEN) with 28 points.
